History Department


History is offered as an optional subject at both Junior and Leaving Certificate levels. Studying History enables students to acquire knowledge and an understanding of human life in the past. Students of History become:
  • Independent thinkers
  • Open-minded and objective
  • Disciplined
  • Good communicators
  • Able to analyse issues and problems
  • Able to formulate logical arguments
