Tullamore College win 17 prizes at A.I.T. Scifest

Scifest in Tullamore College started when we held a Scifest@School where external judges shortlisted 39 projects down to 24 to represent the school at the regional final in AIT.  SciFest at AIT was the largest one yet organised by the institute and the biggest one in the country. Competition with 232 projects by 550 students from 21 schools vying for the more than 30 awards on offer in Athlone. 

 

Tullamore College won a total of 17 prizes including Best School, with 7 of the 17 prizes been for 1st place. 

 

Congratulation to the Ms Flynn, Ms Howlin, Ms Browne and Ms Greany and to all the students whom put in alot of work over a long period of time to make Scifest at Tullamore College such a success. Click here for more information and for a list of each of our students projects.(May 2015)

Development Education programme receives award

 Tullamore College was awarded the WorldWise Global Schools Diplomatic Passport. This was in recognition for the school's 'established engagement in Development Education'. Ms Graham and Alana Dillon are pictured here receiving the award from Minister of State Seán Sherlock. Great credit is due to Ms. Graham for her tireless work over the last 4 years in organising the Annual Regional Development Education Day and in working with her students to raise the funds to send students on awareness raising trips to Africa. (May 2015).
