London Trip 2009
On the 6th March 2009, our Art students set off for London to experience the works of art on the History and Appreciation section of their course first hand. Along with Mr. Joe Caslin, the trip’s organiser, and Ms. Ann Mac Namara, who assisted him, the Leaving Certificate group visited the National Gallery, the Tate Modern, the “Unveiled” exhibition in the Saatchi Gallery and the London Bodyworlds exhibition. The group also found the time to take a trip on the London Eye, and visited the West End to watch the musical “The Lion King”. The students thanked their Art teacher with the gift of a book on Leonardo da Vinci’s life and work, which is now on display in the Art room.
